Vannamei shrimp is one of the most important aquaculture products in Iran, and the Iranian Fisheries Organization has a special view on the product.

Vannamei shrimp is produced in the southern part of the country and partly in the northern part of Iran.

Currently, the production of shrimp in Iran is more than 68,000 tons per year, which is increasing with the policies of the Fisheries Organization.

Approximately 70% of the production in the country is exported.
