Rainbow Trout Fish (Oncorhynchus Mykiss)

Trout are species of freshwater fish belonging to the genera Oncorhynchus, Salmo and Salvelinus, all of the subfamily Salmoninae of the family Salmonidae. The word trout is also used as part of the name of some non-salmonid fish such as Cynoscion nebulosus, the spotted seatrout or speckled trout.

Trout are closely related to salmon and char (or charr): species termed salmon and char occur in the same genera as do fish called trout.

Iran is among the first three countries producing rainbow salmon in the world.

Currently, more than 220,000 tons are produced in Iran and about 10,000 tons of this amount are exported.

The share of this company, having 2 farms and a fry production center and 100 farms as a sub-set, in the domestic market and export is more than 3500 tons per year.

Salmon has a high amount of protein and omega-3 fatty acids, and all types of this fish are found in the North Atlantic and Pacific Oceans and are consumed in most parts of the world.

Consuming too much fatty fish, such as salmon, reduces the risk of obesity, diabetes, and heart disease.

Salmon is an excellent substitute for protein sources such as red meat and chicken, and this fish has a lot of protein, but it reduces the amount of saturated fat, which is a great source for maintaining weight or body mass index.
